Varley

On the advice of M&M we have made plans to travel inland (north) heading toward Wave Rock and then onto the “Tin Horse Highway”. Along the way we met Ray & Daphne on the side of the road and helped them with their flat tyre. Caught up with Barry & Pauline and John at the overnight rest area at Varley. This has got to be one of the best rest areas we have ever stopped at, in addition to free toilets and showers, a great fire pit, they also have a shed that has a camp kitchen including kettle, microwave, toaster, sink, washing machine, they even have power to plug into if you need, all for free. There is a donation box that we all contributed to, in total there would have been approx. $50 put in the box from the 7 vans that stayed the night. We had a great night, for dinner we had our first camp oven for this trip, a beautiful roast beef with vegies, we are getting better at this, and then Paulines Damper for desert, excellent. We enjoyed the fire with Barry & Pauline and John and Ray & Daphne and Tony.
