Sally & Jeff

19/06/2018

We have spent the last 4 nights with Sal, Jeff and Mav. When we arrived on Friday night there was a doo on in town just a short walk from the house that had live music and food stalls etc,. It was fun playing with all of Mav & Jeff’s toys, going out in the boat and sitting around the fire in the backyard of an evening. The temperature has dropped a bit with forecasts of between 3°-19°.

On Sunday the community group that Sal is involved with hosted their first picnic & play in the local park, the local rotary club also assisted and ran the little train around the park for the kids, it was a really cool community day.

Whilst we have been at Sal & Jeff’s we finally managed to install the redarc BCDC charger and the new batteries, fingers crossed that we don’t need to worry about that stuff anymore.

We left Sal & Jeffs deciding that we would take an inland route through to Cairns. That saw us leaving and heading West towards Emerald, on the way Col remembered that he wanted to go to Airlie Beach and investigate hiring a boat for a couple of days, with this little thought bubble we decided to change our direction and head more north east towards Airlie Beach. After an hour or so we learnt of some tragic news back home, we decided that we really want to go home for the funeral. With this we started heading south. All in all, we spent the whole day on the road and did a really big circle ending up almost back where we started.
