We now move onto our quest to find the much talked about wildflowers of WA, this takes us to Mullewa.
On our way we notice that the sides of the highway have changed heaps compared to when we were last here only 6 weeks ago, then it was all dry and seemed dead, now its green, with random flowers popping up.
And as we move further we discover what seemed to be gray paddocks before are now full of green crops with Canola Flowers.
As it worked out the weekend that we are in Mulewa they are having both the annual wildflower show and the Agricultural show, at the football grounds that we are staying at.
We paid our $5 each to go to the Flower show at the CWA hall, had a scone with Jam & Cream and checked out the display. For flower enthusiasts this is probably heaven, we were just a little bit outside our normal surroundings. Good to watch others though that were right into it.
We were provided with directions on where to find the wreath flowers, in fact there are even street signs to help us on our way. They are pretty cool though.
Looks like in addition to Rachel’s fascination with the big boats and long trains, she beginning to take a liking to tractors, and ag-equipment, all of the below photos were taken by Rach, she even waited out on the road for a while to get some of these. The truckies all gave her a bit of a wave as they went by.
At the end of the night there was a fireworks display, it seemed that everyone from the show had gone home, but we enjoyed watching the 10 minute display from the comfort of Mia.
