Today we travelled to Manning Gorge, this sees us going back south for about 20 kms meeting back up with GRR and then travelling 90 kms east to Mt Barnett Road House, then 7 kms north to Manning Gorge.
Along the way we stopped at Galvans Gorge which is just a short 1 km walk from the car park which is right on the GRR. This is just a small little gorge with a trickle of water and a resident fresh water crocodile to have a swim with. After sharing the water with a Freshy at Tunnel Creek, and the fact that others were in the water, Col had a swim, but Rach chose not to.

Arriving at Manning gorge later in the afternoon was like arriving at a little paradise, sandy beach leading to crystal clear swimming hole, the water was cool, but not as cold as Bells Gorge.

We stayed here for two nights doing the walk to the main gorge on the second day, it was pretty cool, it starts by pulling yourself across the swimming hole in the resident leaky tinnie and then a 6km grade 4 round trip hike through some scenic country.
