Longreach

We’ve had a great time in Longreach, we stayed at Apex Park beside the Thompson river, its very very dry and dusty. Whilst here we visited the Stockmans hall of Fame, the Qantas Museum and did the Kinnon paddle ship up the river and campfire and Bush poetry. We even managed to be here when the Longreach Show was on, its a bit different to the shows we are used to, but good all the same. All of things that we did were really cool, given our time again we would do them all again. Its sad to see the struggles that the people out here are experiencing due to the drought, they are strong resilient people and some have adapted and diversified to tourism etc to survive, nonetheless its said to witness.
