Lake Corella, Australia |

We had just finished setting up camp beside this lake when a couple of lovely people returning from their walk, admired our spot and explained how envious they were that we would probably get some good shots of the crocodiles in the morning. Well we didn’t know what to do, they did explain that they were freshies and are not a problem. After a lot of consideration we chose to stay, and didnt see any crocs.
We stayed for a couple of days, cooking on the fire, really enjoying the nothing.
Whilst we were staying at Lake Corella we took a day trip just up the road to visit the old Mary Katheleen Uranium mine, it was an unusual feeling standing in the abandoned town which in its day was a thriving mining town. The color of the water in the open cut mine is impossible to capture on our cameras, it glows.
