We turned off the highway at Northampton and followed the coast up towards Kalbarri. Stopping for a quick look out the windscreen at a few little coastal towns along the way …… if we went outside we would get wet and maybe blown away, pretty horrible weather. Good spot to camp but…

As we got closer to the Southern Cliffs near Kalbarri we finally get a break from the crappy weather, just in time as well, the cliffs, dolphins and even whales were just spectacular.

We then moved on to the inland part of the Kalbarri National Park to visit Natures Window, well its just a beautiful area, only spoiled by the flys, that want to get in your face.

We found that there was a 10km Loop walk that some people had been comparing to Kings Canyon. The day was running out so, we found a sneaky little free camp for the night, and decided to come back the next day.

It is really beautiful, and has a good feel to the area, and the walk was great but should never be compared to Kings Canyon, they are in different classes.
