We joined 12 other people at the reception area of the caravan park at 9.30 am waiting to be picked up by the bus that was to shuttle us to the nearby airport where we would board a seaplane, fly for about 30 minutes, and land on the water at the Horizontal falls. When we boarded the plane the pilot picked Rachel to be the co-pilot, and off we go.
We had a beautifully clear day with some amazing views
The approach to our landing was really cool, we flew through the approaching gorges banking in both directions before finally landing, truly exhilarating.
After our first of many safety briefings we jumped on a fast boat to go and check out the Horizontal falls.
We then jumped into the enclosed swimming area and watched the Gummy Sharks get fed

We popped into our home away from home for lunch, this is where the 12 of us plus 3 crew will live for the next 24 hours.
Time to go fishing, we both caught something, but looks like Rachel hauled in the big one
As we got back to our home on water, just when we thought today was over there was still more to come
Just so much fun
After a long day, time to relax
Sunrise out on the boat the next morning was special
We went to have another look at the falls on a different tide, wow, what a difference, no way you’d drive through it now
check out the photo below, this is not us, it is a photo of a photo from our cabin
Back on the plane now to fly back to Derby where Mia & Frank are waiting for us. What an awesome experience, we to will now join everyone else to rave about a great experience.
