Hervey Bay

We managed to get a fantastic site at Pialba Caravan Park in Hervey Bay right on the water. They had a special deal, pay for 6 nights and stay for 7, we love a deal so a week it was. The main excuse for staying here was to get power and sort out the battery dramas.

Hervey Bay is beautiful and lends itself to walks and/or rides along the foreshore. There are heaps of main stream shops in Hervey Bay, it is well represented by lots of major brand stores, if it wasn’t for the separation from family and friends we think we could easily live at Hervey Bay.

As it worked out we ended up spending the week, lots of walks, rides, and work on Mia’s batteries however we left after the week without resolving the battery issue. We had ordered 3 new batteries, however we were sent 2 new and 1 almost new battery. The battery company are still trying to work out how they sent us a 2nd hand battery with logistics of how they are going to remedy the mistake proving difficult. We are hoping that they will send a replacement to Rockhampton and we can collect it on the way through. So now we have re-installed our old batteries, and carrying three extra batteries. Fingers crossed it all works out.

When we were in Mooloolaba last week we bought a new Mavic Air drone, we have been slowly experimenting on how to use this to get some good photo’s as well as letting Col fly it to have fun. As many people will know Drones + Col = Crash. This will be our 3rd one, we will see how we go.
