After leaving Hervey Bay, we headed north, destination unknown. As we travel we usually talk to trucks on the CB to negotiate with them on where and how they would like to overtake us, during one of these little chats another caravan joined in and asked us where we were stopping at the end of the day, when we told them that we hadn’t figured that out yet, they told us about the very popular rest areas either side of the river at Calliope. So, we decided to make that be our target. It’s a very busy place with heaps of people there.
