What an excellent time we’ve had in Cairns, the reason for coming up here was to catch up with some of the friends that we had previously met in Darwin two years ago. We only had time to stay for two nights and the crew in Cairns helped make the most of it. On our first night we had a BBQ in the camp kitchen, all the guys surprised us by wearing their Hawaiian shirts. We had a great time catching up with Jeff & Janine, Rob & Wendy, Jeff & Pat and met John & Wendy. The following night we went to Dundees on the waterfront for dinner. It was great catching up with everyone and again how lucky we are to have these friends.

Whilst here we took the opportunity to go on the Skyrail to Kuranda and catch the train back, this is something that we have wanted to do on our previous visits but never found the time. It was cool, and probably a completely different experience in the wet season with the waterfalls flowing stronger.
