We have driven the 200km from Derby to Broome to see the legendary Staircase to the Moon. We booked into the caravan park at Town Beach which is where all the action is suppose to happen. This way we get to watch the moonrise, have a couple of drinks and not need top worry about parking or driving. The town puts on a nighttime market for the 3 days a month when the Staircase to the moon is on, it was a bit of fun.

We are only here for the 3 days and then 200km back to Derby, bit of Zig Zagging happening now, but hey, mother nature has her own schedule and we just need to work with it.
This morning when we woke Broome was absolutely covered in fog, it mostly had cleared by 9am. As we went to leave though we thought we would pop in to Cable Beach for a quick swim, this was around lunchtime. The fog had moved and just covered the whole beach, this closed the beach, and airport for the rest of the day as it just didn’t lift for the entire day, really weird.
