Bitter Springs

Last night we stayed in a free camp on the side of the highway in Elsey, about 10 minutes before bitter springs. This worked out perfectly, we got here so early in the morning that there was only a couple of people in the water, but definitely no crowds. The couple people that were already in the water kinda showed us what to so and also made us feel a bit safer that there must not be any crocs.
There is a beautiful stream of water that is fed by a continuous hot spring, you get in the water with your noodle and just float with the flow of the water until you arrive at a larger pool, get out and run up the path and do it all over again. When we arrived the water was crystal clear, as we were leaving more people had arrived and the water was starting to become a bit stirred up. This is our first drift down a hot spring.
