Monkey Mia

08/06/2019

Today we split up the convoy, Rod & Michelle followed the coast visiting Pink lake and Kalbarri, whilst we went straight up the highway about 100kms shorter. Rita gets along a lot faster than MIA, and we are thinking that we will visit this coast line when we come back later in the year. Mia traveled approx 400 kms , and Rita about 500 kms.

We arrived at Monkey Mia to an absolute perfect afternoon, no wind, no flys, just calm water, dolphins swimming along the water’s edge, and another beautiful sunset.

The main attraction at Monkey Mia, is the Dolphin feeding that happens from 8am in the morning. This is run by WA Parks and Wildlife. The dolphins come right close into the beach and show their personality to anyone who cares to watch, in return they are given a small measured amount of fish by selected people from the audience. This all measured and well controlled. We all loved this experience.
