We are really enjoying getting back into the tourist mode, we are meeting many new people and stop to look at the simplest of landmarks, some grand, and some not so much. The Nullarbor Links is proving to be a whole lot of fun, today we were playing the 5th hole (Dingo’s Den) and had been warned that the local crow that likes to steal balls from the fairway, we took the advised deterrent and sprayed our balls with insect repellent. We had been told to use Aeroguard, but used Bushmans instead, ….. well Rachel hit this beautiful shot with the 4 iron, and we watched this crow swoop down, land right in front of the ball, have a peck at it (we were confident that the Bushmans would deter him) and then grab it in his beak and fly off. We couldn’t believe it, from then on every time we had a shot we would run after our ball to get there before the crow, despite our best efforts he got one of Cols balls as well. We lost two balls to Mr. Crow.
We spent the night camped upon the Bunda Cliffs, we were fortunate enough to experience it with very little wind throughout the afternoon, at night the wind did pick up a bit but not no more than what has become normal for down here (at home it would be significant)
